The seventies are back! The SS'15 and AW'I5 catwalks were heavily inspired by seventies influences, creating a wave of nostalgia throughout Fashion Week. Hosiery played a large role in many collections: Preen by Thornton Bregazzi used GIPSY Khaki 100 denier tights to complement their seventies inspired A/W '15 collection. Saint Laurent and Etro paired brown tone sheers and semi-opaques with patchwork suede jackets and leather whilst Sonia Rykiel complemented suede and seventies silhouettes with grey knee and ankle socks. Burberry's collection was dominated by suede fringing, folk patterns and colourful embroidery whilst Gucci used bold patterns and touches of suede and fur. The high street soon followed suit with retro prints, fringing and suede pieces - making this an attainable trend for all.
